Bridgetown, Barbados - Barbados and West Indies Women's players - Shakera Selman, Shaquana Quintyne, the Knight twins, Kycia and Kyshona, along with Deandra Dottin - will all be in action in the 2014 BCA Iris Walker Memorial 50-over and Twenty20 competitions which start this weekend.
Pat Whittaker Pride will clash with Angela Harris Tridents in the opening match of the 50-over tournament on Saturday, January 18 at the Yorkshire Club ground, Friendship. Play begins at 9.30 a.m.
On Sunday, January 19, Pat Whittaker Pride will oppose UWI Blackbirds in the T20 tournament, also at Friendship, with play starting at 1 p.m.
Wicket-keeper/bat Kycia Knight is captain of Pat Whittaker Pride, all-rounder Kyshona Knight leads Angela Harris Tridents and fast bowler Selman is the skipper of UWI Blackbirds.
Leg-spinning all-rounder Quintyne, who celebrated her 18th birthday two weeks ago, will be playing for UWI Blackbirds, while big-hitting all-rounder Dottin is in the Tridents side.
Former West Indies Women's fast bowling all-rounder, 44-year-old Pamela Lavine, is in the Pride team.
