LIME Under-15 Cricket semi-finals bowl off today

Bridgetown, Barbados - Defending champions Nicholls Baking Combermere will take on Alleyne School in the semi-finals of the 2014 Barbados Cricket Association LIME Under-15 Competition.

The two will clash at the Pine Basin, while Queen’s College will come up against Milo Lodge at Friendship. The matches are scheduled to be played over two days from today August 13 and August 14. However, should a whole day be lost as a result of inclement weather, the match will be continued on the third day.

Combermere topped Zone ‘A’ with 33 points, while Lodge finished ahead in Zone ‘B’ with 23 points and Queen’s College won Zone ‘C’ with 40 points. Alleyne School ended with 26 points for second place in Zone ‘A’ but advanced to the semis after ending the round robin stage of the competition with the highest average points per match.

They qualified as the best second placed team out of the three zones with an average points per match of 5, whereas Coleridge and Parry ended with 3.8 points and the Lester Vaughan School ended with 3.25.

The final is scheduled for August 18, 19 and 20 at Kensington Oval.

The final standings after the round robin stage are as follows.

Zone ‘A’ – Nicholls Baking Combermere 33; Alleyne 26; Grantley Adams 23; St. Michael School 20; Harrison College 12; St. George Secondary 4; Parkinson Memorial 2.

Zone ‘B’ – Milo Lodge 23; Lester Vaughan 14; Alexandra 14; Caribbean Alliance/Akobah Gardens Foundation 13; Graydon Sealy 8; Princess Margaret 2.

Zone ‘C’ – Queen’s College 40; Coleridge and Parry 22; Easy Bake St. Leonard’s 18; Deighton Griffith 9; KFC Ellerslie 7; Frederick Smith 1.
