Bridgetown, Barbados - Thaddaeus Chase hit an unbeaten 73 as Nicholas Kirton's XI defeated Dominic Drakes' XI by 20 runs in the third Barbados Under-17 trial match at Friendship on Tuesday.
Chase, who went to the crease as low as No. 8, faced 78 balls and struck ten fours and two sixes in a total of 283 all out off 47.4 overs after Kirton's team won the toss.
There were also useful knocks fromv (43), Najee Holder (37) and Yvan Grant (26).
Deswin Currency was the leading wicket-taker with three for 34.
Drakes' side scored 263 all out off 49.4 overs.
Joshua Bishop topscored with 41 off 62 balls with five boundaries. Leniko Boucher made 34, Currency (29), Sylvester Moore (26), Darren Alleyne (27), Drakes (20) and Shaquan Cave (20 not out).
