Ramp wins airport T20 final

Bridgetown, Barbados - Four crucial wickets from Man-of-The-Match Oswell Hoyte led Caribbean Aircraft Handling Ramp to a seven-run win over Barbados Fire Service in the final of the Grantley Adams International Airport Twenty 20 Night Cricket Competition.

Playing at Rices Playing Field on Friday night, Ramp won the toss and opted to bat first. Shayne Moseley made 27 and Randy Thomas 26 as the Ramp ended on 121-8 in its 20 overs. Brian Shepherd took 2-12 and Larando Best 2-28 for Fire Service.

Hoyte took 4-31 as Ramp successfully restricted Fire Service to 114 all out in 19.4 overs. Best scored 34 and Lonsdale Blake 28.

Courtesy Garage captured third place with a one-wicket win over F.A.S.T Inc in the third-place play-off on Thursday night at the same location. F.A.S.T Inc made 105-20 overs after being put in to bat. Roland Waithe top scored with 47 not out, while Renaldo Arthur scored 25 not out. 

Courtesy replied with 106-9 in 18.2 overs thanks to Kevin Patterson who led the way with 30. Arthur took 3-12 and Kenjie Matthews 3-21.

Ramp also had more to celebrate as Shayne Moseley ended as the top run scorer with 218 runs scored this year, while Hoyte took the most wickets with 17. Moseley was also named as the Man-of-The-Series.
