Bridgetown, Barbados - Wanderers Club is interested in contracting the services of a Coach for its Junior Cricket Programme.
Responsibilities include :
- Planning and running safe and effective coaching sessions on Saturday mornings from 8.45 until 11.15am for children between the ages of 6 and 13 years old, including coordinating the assistance of 3 Junior Coaches plus 3 volunteer parents
- Planning and running safe and effective coaching sessions on Monday afternoons from 3.15 until 5.30pm for children between the ages of 14 and 17 years old
- Arranging matches, selecting teams and supervising teams on match days for the clubs junior cricket teams
- Preparing basic match reports
- Preparing coaching reports for individual junior players
- Communicating needs for the coaching program to the Committee of Management via the Committee member with overall responsibility for the club’s junior cricket.
- Liaising closely with the grounds staff and bar staff to ensure that facilities are adequately prepared for coaching sessions and matches
- Maintaining a simple database of junior cricket members of the club
- Collecting match fees and paying umpires and reconciling cash
Excellent communication and inter personal skills are required.
Knowledge of 1st Aid would be an asset.
Basic knowledge of Excel would be an asset.
