Bridgetown, Barbados - The size of the board of directors of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) could be in for a significant reduction.
If BCA members choose to adopt new rules that are to be considered at an extraordinary general meeting on Thursday, the officers of the board will be cut from 14 to nine, with the elimination of two vice-presidents and three other directors.
Instead of having first, second and third vice-presidents, the proposed new board will have a single vice president whose primary function will be to perform duties in the absence of the president.
Additionally, instead of having eight ordinary directors, the number will drop to five should BCA members give the draft rules the thumbs up at the extraordinary general meeting set for the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, starting at 5:30 p.m.
