Barbados Cricket Association article.

Bridgetown, Barbados - Long-standing member and former President, Vernon Wilkinson, has returned to the top post of the North Stars Cultural and Social Club.

Wilkinson, a former senior member of the Royal Barbados Police Force, was elected at the recent 22nd annual general meeting at Crab Hill, St. Lucy.

He replaces Lynthia Skeete, who held the position for the last three years but did not seek re-election.

Skeete, the only woman who has ever served as president, now takes over as Secretary/Treasurer following the passing last December of Ashley Toppin, who had held that office for 18 unbroken years.

Apart from Toppin, North Stars were also rocked last year by the death of another veteran member and former president, Arthur Cadogan, in October.

North Stars will again be competing in the Barbados Cricket Association Intermediate and Second division Championships. Practice sessions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting at 3 p.m.

Those elected for 2015-16 are:

Vernon Wilkinson - President; Godfrey Moore - Vice-President; Lynthia Skeete - Secretary/Treasurer; Floyd Branker - Assistant Secretary/Treasurer; Arlington Kellman - Director of Sports and Games; Andrea Small - Director of Educational, Cultural and Social Activities; Kyle Carrington - Director of Membership Services.

The Committee chairpersons are: Vernon Wilkinson - Fund-raising; - Floyd Branker - Facilities and Equipment; Lynthia Skeete - Week of Activities; Vernon Wilkinson - Disciplinary; Vernon Wilkinson - Tour to England 2016.
